These are a Few of my Favorite FALL Things

"Spring passes and one remembers one's innocence. Summer passes and one remembers one's exuberance. Autumn passes and one remembers one's reverence. Winter passes and one remembers one's perserverance."    -Yoko Ono

Well, Fall is officially upon us. I love the changing of seasons! I don't care if it's summer to autumn, autumn to winter, winter to spring, or spring to summer. I love them all!! I love how different all the seasons are and the variety of things to partake in for each one! It's also a wonderful reminder that change can be a incredible and beautiful thing. The changing seasons remind me that God is in control and he knows what he's doing. "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." 2 Corinthians 5:17 All we have to do is stay in his perfect will and enjoy the scenery, which for me is usually the hard thing to do... This year, I've been trying to really enjoy all of these changes, and take a part in some of the typical fall traditions. I'm hoping that with each change of weather I will take the time to notice and enjoy the blessings around me. These are a few of my favorite Autumn things: (in no particular order...)

1.) Apple Picking

2.) Pumpkin Carving

3.) Corn Mazes

4.) Baking Pies

5.) Trick-or-Treating

Not from this year, but it sure is FUN!

6.) Bonfires

7.) Jumping in the Leaves

Again, not from this year, but man I miss her!
8.) Watching Hocus Pocus

9.) Sunflowers

10.) Grandma Jenny's Birthday (she's 92 this year!)

11.) The Changing Leaves

12.) Jackets, Scarfs and Boots

13.) Warm Drinks

14.) The Legend of Sleepy Hallow (Narrated by BING CROSBY)

15.) BRONCO Football!!

WHAT NOW???????????

16.) NGU Open Dorms for Halloween

17.) Thanksgiving

I am so thankful for all of the blessings that God has surrounded me with. This Fall, I am truly blessed.

2 Years Ago Today

When we got up yesterday morning, it just seemed like a regular day, nothing special. Timmy had off work so that was an extra bonus, but besides that we didn't have anything planned. Then, however, I got on facebook, saw what the date was, and realized that it was our two year anniversary! Whoops! Guess we let that one slip! Since we didn't have anything planned, we made a spur of the moment decision to go to the park and hang out, since the weather was beautiful! So we grabbed a blanket, Frisbee, soccer ball, and a huge bag of day after Halloween sale candy (for lunch of coarse) and headed out!

The leaves were absolutely incredible.
We played soccer for a while, and Timmy tried to improve my frisbee skills (emphasis on tried), and then we decided it was definitely time to hit up the concession stand for an ice cream (because we needed the extra sugar after all of that candy......).

Timmy got a "Rich Bar" and I, of coarse, got SPIDERMAN!
Even though we had forgot, it turned out to be a wonderful 2 year anniversary! (Now I guess we can actually start celebrating wedding anniversaries instead of dating ones.... but I'll take any excuse to celebrate!) Plus, I have a pretty amazing husband, so that makes it very easy to be thankful for him!

To top the day off, the Broncos CRUSHED the Raiders!
Sounds like a perfect day to me!
