Well, it is officially that time of year!!! Christmas! Now, Christmas is probably my favorite holiday; I just love how everything seems to change during the winter months, becomes a bit more magical and Narnia-esk. This past week or so, I've been working on putting up all of our Christmas decorations, not that we have many since we're newlyweds! Nevertheless, I've had a blast putting them up anyway, along with the assistance of my ever indulgent husband. It has been a bit of a hassle trying to figure out where we are going to put our Christmas decorations in our wee townhouse, but we put our "thinking caps" on and somehow expanded the townhouse to create room.
I love our Christmas tree and all the ornaments that Timmy and I have accumulated over the years, some have more casualties than others... Some have new injuries due to our ferocious cat... but they are all equally treasured and we loved looking and reminiscing as we put them on the tree.

| Poor thing is scrunched in the corner, but still managing to look beautiful. |
Our next task was finding a place for our beloved stockings..... Which was a little tricky, since we don't have a fireplace to hang them on.... Eventually we decided that the staircase would serve as an acceptable substitute mantle.
 |
| and yes, Lila has her own "Hello, Kitty" stocking... It seemed only appropriate... |
Finally, we were down to our finally task: Putting Christmas lights on the house. This turned out to be more of a challenge than we realized, and quite a few light bulbs ending up paying the price...

| My husband, braving heights and cold, just to please his wife. Love him. |
Overall, it ended up working really well, and turned out beautifully! I was so very excited to see our house filled with Christmas spirit!
... And then the top strand of lights short circuited... Oh well, it was a nice thought! At least, I took a picture before they went out, right? Well our lives are full of a series of unfortunate events, but there is always a blessing in disguise (aka: our electric bill won't be as high...) and we can't wait to see what the Christmas season has in store for us!
