Parents Weekend (10/2-3/11)

About a week and a half ago my family (Mom and Dad), friends (Amanda and Meredith) and I traveled to Winthrop to spend some time with Jonas. Meredith, Amanda and I drove up to Rock Hill on Saturday morning to begin the festivities. I knew the ROAR soccer season had started, so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to head to Westminster Park and watch some of my favorite kids play! We had so much fun cheering each of them on, and catching up with all of the other families that were there that morning. I never fully realize how much I miss a place until I go back and visit!

The offical cheering section!

It might have been a little windy....

Stokes cheering on his brother!
No cheering section is complete without signs!!!
After the games, we headed over to the Winthrop campus to listen to Jonas' concert! The band did an amazing job, as did the jazz band! It was nice to be able to sit outside, relax, and listen to some beautiful music (even though we, the girls, were FREEZING...)!

Of coarse the Winthrop eagle showed up for the fight song!

Jonas, on the right, playing his Bari Sax! So proud of him!
After the concert we decided to go see the movie Couragous. It was such an amazing movie! I think any person who ever wants to get married or have children needs to see this movie. It really opens your eyes (girls) to look for a Godly man who truly pursues and loves Him above all others, and (men) to realize what your responsibilities are as men of God and how to prepare yourself to become the husband and father that God requires of you. It's a great movie for families, father/son days, date nights, pretty much any event is a great excuse to go see this movie. It also reminded me of how lucky I am to have been given such an amazing father, both earthly and heavenly. I am truly blessed.

Trailer for the movie Couragous. Go see it NOW!

Overall, it was a wonderful weekend to reconnect with family and friends! I could not have asked God to place better people in my life, and I am being continuously blessed by each and every one of them.
