Timmy and I decided to head down to Columbia this past weekend to visit family, friends, and go to the State Fair! This was the second time I was able to attend the fair and I absolutely love it! Now, I don't like to ride the rides... Too expensive and not that thrilling. However, I love seeing all of the exhibits, and shows, but my favorite thing has to be the fair food! I don't know what it is about food being cooked in grungy old carts (normally something to avoid...) but at the fair, it's DELICIOUS.
This year there was a new show, which I was thoroughly excited about, Elephant Encounter! I
LOVE elephants! So seeing them up close was one of the highlights of the day! I've also decided that I plan on owning an elephant, but that'll take a while... Maybe when I'm lucky enough to win the lottery...

After the elephant encounter, we saw my two favorite shows, Swifty Swine's Racing Pigs and AirMutts, the Frisbee catching dogs!

The day after the fair we decided to hang out with Timmy's best friend Corey and his wife Ashley. We decided to go to the River walk in Columbia. It was a ton of fun catching up, finding geocaches, watching Corey try to cross scary pipe bridges, and of coarse finding strange creatures....

Overall, it was the perfect way to spend the weekend. It also helped Timmy and I realize that Super Mario Brothers on Wii is either great relationship therapy or a quick way to break one up...
Just kidding!!! Oh, the things you learn while hanging out with friends...!
